I find it really hard to describe things in words (maybe thats why I am a photographer) but I guess I would title myself as an Australian Landscape Photographer. I had lots of other really cool titles in mind but after a quick Google search I realised they were all taken.

In 2000 I turned a hobby into a profession and it has slowly grown from there. Coming from a medium format film background taught me patience and discipline, when it is $5 a shot you tend to learn quickly.

I now shoot solely digital and love the flexibility and control that it gives me.
The essence of any image starts way before you fire the shutter, composition and lighting are detrimental and most of this can not be FIXED latter.
My sole purpose when making an image is to portray the beauty of a place, to capture the emotion and to tell a story, your job as the viewer is to decipher this in any way you feel.
We live in a beautiful world and photography is the perfect medium to record this.
