Hi and welcome to my first newsletter, there will be about 3-4 newsletters a year and these will keep you up to date with what is happening.
The big news for 2005 was the arrival of a new girl in my life, Lucy Jaye was born on 25th August after a 30 hr labour, she had the cord around her neck twice (and I thought Jenny just wasn't pushing hard enough).
She is now over 1yo and entertains us 24/7.

Early this year I won an award of which I am extremely proud of, The Australian Institute of Professional Photography hold state and national awards each year, I won the landscape section in the state awards and also did very well in the National awards with two Silver awards and two Silver with Distinction, click here to view my winning images.

****Exhibition: "Visions of an Optimist" ****

Theme
The theme for this exhibition is about finding positives in this negative world we live in. Corruption, corporate greed, climate change and war surround us every day (just turn on the news), but we are also surrounded by beauty and peace if we look for it. The purpose of this exhibition is to encourage people to find and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. Weather it be the magic of the beach at sunset, the power of an approaching storm, the marvel of a rainbow, or the tranquility of calm Swan Bay.

"Visions of an Optimist" contains about 20 images, most of which were shot in 2006. It is a mixture of local images, Great Ocean Road, Tasmanian wilderness and Vietnam. It also includes some of my award winning images from earlier this year. The images are printed on different medias to suit their mood, from high gloss prints with very punchy colours to Fine Art Matte papers and Canvas with their soft painted look.
