People say to me "You are so lucky doing what you love, being able to spend time in such beautiful places". And yes I agree.
To me that is what photography is all about. Nature has so much to offer and it saddens me knowing that so many people don't take time to experience our natural environments, to absorb the stunning scenery, to soak up the tranquillity or be overwhelmed by nature's power.
So the challenge for me is to try to capture these 'feelings' on film, to show that, "hey, this is the beauty that surrounds us… can YOU see it?", and we shouldn't take it for granted as many natural places are threatened!
Take the time to experience and enjoy some of our special places and you will be rewarded, whether it be a sunset at the beach or being surrounded by ancient trees in a rainforest.
